Welcome to the Assumption Kindergarten Community.
The developmental characteristics of children of kindergarten age call for a curriculum that involves a variety and balance of activities. In a caring and nurturing environment, children strengthen emerging literacy and numeracy skills as well as speaking and listening skills. Each child’s academic, social, and emotional needs are addressed. Within their classroom community, the children learn to be responsible for themselves and their belongings. Emphasis is placed on social skills that foster polite communication, problem-solving, and friendship.
